Vidal Jarbeaux is a scoundrel who can charm his way into any situation. His schemes to seduce women, obtain wealth and pretend to be something he was not impressed the Toreador in Paris. They were fascinated by his ploys, often playing roles as dupes or witnesses. Once Vidal met each of their challenges they embraced him, but soon after grew bored of him and set their attentions to other matters.
Vidal feels that since his embrace his creative spark is gone. He left Paris and over the next two centuries bounced around the world, conning society’s elite, but he never achieved the thrill he used to when he was mortal. He has conned many mortals and Kindred, having at different times claimed to be a member of every clan and used his skills to support his claims.
Eventually Vidal’s cons got the attention of Justicar Montecalme. After chasing him for a decade, Montecalme hired Vidal as one of his archons, sending him on only special assignments. Only the Justicar, his archons and the Inner Circle knew about Vidal.
Now Montecalme has stepped down and Vidal works for Madame Guil. While Guil believes Vidal is working for her, he is infact working as a spy for the Inner Circle. Many of them have doubts about Guil and Vidal has been researching her background and finding that her story doesn’t hold up concerning her actions during the French Revolution. She’s a tough opponent, trusting no one and allowing little to slip. Vidal hopes this game he plays with her will challenge him and give him the thrill he has not had since his mortal years.
Vidal dresses in the finest clothes from around the world, turning heads wherever he goes. He uses a smile to disarm the suspicious and carries a red rose to catch the wary off-guard. He also carries a sword-cane for defense when the smile doesn’t work.
